On this tour, we will take you through Peaceful and beautiful villages by the sea will take you on a wonderful journey.

The villages of Ponta do Sol, Madalena do Mar and Paúl do Mar are very well known for its large production of sugar cane, banana.

We then continue our trip to Ponta do Pargo, you are able to admire one of the most emblematic lighthouse situated further west of island. Ponta do Pargo is also where we will have our lunch break stop, various snack bars, restaurants or coffee shops will be given as choice for lunch.

In Calheta village you will find one of the two man-made golden sandy beaches that Madeira has to offer.

You will have the opportunity to visit the Engenho da Calheta (Sugar cane factory) were you can admire how the sugar cane rum is made and have the opportunity to walk around the distillery.

    This village is located at the most western part of the island, known for its lighthouse built on top of the rock. From the viewpoint you can admire a spectacular view over ocean.
  • Estreito da Calheta

    Estreito da Calheta
    A mainly agricultural village with vines and cane sugar, it is known for its Parish Church of Nossa Senhora da Graça, built in the late fifteenth century, and the Chapel of Reis Magos, built in the sixteenth century.

    Calheta has one of two man made golden sand beaches and houses the “Sociedade de Engenhos da Calheta“ where you can observe the machinery used in the manufacture of brandy and sugar cane honey and taste the traditional honey cake accompanied by Poncha.
