Madeira Sunday Market & Gardens Tour
Sun
9h00 - 12h30
Weekends are a good time to visit the village as the local people stage their market stalls along the main road and a surprising assortment of food and other goods can be acquired very cheaply.
We will start by visiting the village of Santa Cruz, and then make our way to the Market and park of Santo da Serra where the paths are lined with wonderful blooming camellias. The park has a small variety of animals including deer, horses, and goats.
Finish up at Garajau, an area in Caniço where the statue of Christ the King stands on the cliff above the ocean.
